The personalization wizard builds a custom EQ by learning what you like — a quick "ear exam." It plays short blind A/B comparisons (you can't see which clip is tweaked), you pick which sounds better, and it gradually tunes a curve for your headphones and your music.
Starting it
Tap your connected device and choose Personalize (you can also start it right after pairing during setup).
What the wizard asks
- How thorough? Pick a program — a quick pass or a more thorough one with more comparisons. (Longer programs are a Premium feature; the FAST option is free.)
- Genre — choose the kind of music you listen to (Pop, Hip-Hop & Rap, Rock, Electronic & EDM, R&B & Soul, Metal and more). The AI tailors the result to that style.
- Add your music (optional) — pick tracks from your phone for the most personal result, or skip to use built-in reference clips. WAV/FLAC give the best accuracy; MP3/AAC also work.
- Listening trials — you'll hear two short clips (A and B) and tap the one that sounds better. Repeat for a handful of rounds; the AI refines with each choice.
- Pick your AutoEQ (when available) — for supported headphones you may compare a few correction options against the original and keep whichever you prefer.
- Review & save — name the preset, choose an icon, and optionally turn on Auto-switch by genre so it's selected automatically whenever that genre plays.
Tips
- Use the headphones you actually listen with — results are saved per device.
- Made a wrong call on a comparison? You can step Back during the test.
- After it finishes, you can scale the result's strength from 0–200% to taste — no need to redo the test.
- Personalize a few genres and enable auto-switch so the right tuning follows your music.
